Solid. Just plain solid. If you've read Johns and Frank on Action and/or the previous 4 issues of this series, you know what to expect. The art is gorgeous and the writing is old school Superman with a modern flair. Luther and Corben are both handled exceptionally well by both Johns and Frank. Luther's reaction to the Daily Planet's treatment of Superman and his discovery of Superman's weakness are both perfect Luther moments. Not to mention that for the first time Corben actually feels like a three dimensional character with a connection to Superman's world, instead of just a guy with a kryptonite heart. The opening fire rescue scene is also classic Superman and will remind every fan why they love the character. Most importantly, the highlight of this issue is John's development of the relationship between Lois and Clark, where he shows how Lois could fall in love with Clark, without knowing he is Superman. This issue is my pick of the weak because sometimes I don't need a comic to blow my mind, but only deliver a solid and enjoyable read.
