YOU WILL BELIEVE A SUPER-MAN CAN CRY!  Seriously, between the last Johns issue and this, it does sting pretty bad.  Especially for me, since I had just read Superman: For All Seasons.  If you love Pa Kent and want to shed a manly tear, go read the "Spring" chapter of that one.  Anyway, brilliant stuff here.  I let out an audible gasp when Superman "apparently" beat the crap out of Brainiac (am I alone in LOVING "pissed off" Superman?), and love how Brainiac is being "used" now.  Really interested to see where that goes, but you just know it won't end well.  Enjoyed the reveal on the last page, too.  This arc seems like it's going to be very interesting.  I was a little bothered by the switching of artists throughout... but whatever, it's a party.  By the way, that whale totally had it coming.
