I enjoy reading STRACZYNSKI (had to cut and paste that name) in the Brave and the Bold.  Which I think suits his style better then being on a main book.  It’s obvious he’s a thinker.  He seems to have characters asking questions that he’s probably pondering himself in his life.  Which there is nothing wrong with writing like that as long as it’s presented clear enough for us to follow and not too pop culture referencing.  I hated the Project Runway comment thou in this..I like to think Superman doesn’t have to live in that awful world like we do.

What this book did great in the first part was capture the awe and wonderment Superman would create if he just simply walked down the street.  For some reason no other comic book character does that like Superman.  There are thousands of other characters that may have similar powers but none of them can communicate that feel like this character.  He feels like a god amongst men.  Since even the most religious person has never seen God, Superman communicates well the feeling even none believers would have if we did come in to contact with one.

I will read these stories because I enjoy STRACZYNSKI’s other writings very much but eventually Superman Comics need to get back to the Action (no pun intended).

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
