Red Lanterns is a perfect illustration of what 12 year thinks of as edgy and adult, versus what an adult thinks. This book is really, really bad.

So many problems, where to begin? I think you should only offer constructive criticism, so here goes:

If the most interesting character in your story is someone’s cat, you should go back and develop your character better

A good first step would be to create characters that can actually form a complete sentence. Seriously, it really helps a story to have characters that can form sentences, or at a minimum entire words.

Vomiting Blood on your enemies is not as cool as you seem to think it is. Plues, it’s not very effective I would imagine.

Not every object or character needs to have blood dripping off it, or foaming blood from the mouth. It sort of loses it’s impact.

I sort of feel like the character maybe watched the Scotty Mcboogerballs episode of South Park, and just didn’t get the joke.
