This is a book I picked up because of the battle for the cowl title. Let me mention, that I am new to the world of batman and have NO clue who the Oracle is in relation to batman and his history. That being said, this was a WONDERFUL story that connected and interested me in this character. The art work and coloring are beautiful and enhance the overall quality of this book. The dialogue was great, especially the car ride / dinner scene – great conversation between a dad and his daugther. As the story continues to unfold, the reader is reintroduced to the anti-life equation, – the true power of evil – very cool stuff. The event that made this story for me was the ending, which was a complete surprise, I did not see that coming!! This book is worth the price tag, espeically to anyone reading the battle for the cowl event, do not pass this story up, I took a chance and it paid off, it will for you too, you will not be disappointed.
