This is the first book in many years that I seriously considered buying both covers of. The moment I saw the book on the shelf I was instantly transported to 1987 where a 10 year old version of myself was buying his first new mutants comic at a local 7/11 mini market. In the moments leading up to opening up this magnificent comic, I prayed to the comics gods that marvel would not screw this one up as they did the X-Force relaunch. They did not disappoint. The book was exciting and entertaining. The art while not exactly Rob Liefield felt appropriate. They did manage to capture the essence of a group of people trying to recapture a  level of comradery they are no longer sure exist. I hope this book continues to be engaging at least for a while.A few items I would like to see addressed/nitpicks:
1. The new uniforms all look like the Cyclops X-Factor uniform, I always valued the individuality of the new mutants/X-force uniforms.
2. The book list Sunspots abilities as solar absorption and manipulation, it has been a long time since he was shown flying or using energy blast.
3. Bring back Cannonballs kinetic energy absorption and redirection powers and well as energy projection.
4. I seem to be the only person that remembers that cannonball is supposed to be immortal.
5. Don’t bring back Doug Ramsey. This is as big a mistake as bringing back Jason Todd. Their deaths had meaning in their respective universes and should be left alone.

  1. I wonder how many people even know who Doug Ramsey is anymore?

  2. If I’m not mistaken he was on the cover.
