DO NOT BUY THIS! this book was, at best, bad, and at worst, offensive. first of all, has the writer forgotten what mr. terrific's power is? he is invisible to technology. so why is the first page him getting shot at by automated lasers! would you open a superman book with him being shot in the shoulder and then never explain why? the pop culture references seem out of place and distracting. the characters also seem to insert their race into every other sentence as no one does. and in this, the death of michael holt's wife is brought about not by a drunk driver but by... a faulty GPS. the change in karen starr from a normal smart girl in an admitably cheesecakey costume to a girl with no personality who spends half the issue without pants is a slap in the face to fans of the most recent series. the art gets worse and worse as the story progresses and the cliffhanger left me yawning. all in all this was easily the worst book of the relaunch. if you enjoyed it then i'm sorry but i knew mr. terrific and you sir are no mr. terrific.
