Terrific is stretching it a bit a bit. how about Mr. Has Potential.

This really reminds me of a cross between Iron Man and the Fantastic Four. It’s got the weird science-y vibe, with a dashing billionaire vibe going on.

The story is pretty good, interesting mysterious plot that sort of reminds me of maybe The Manchurian Candidate crossed with Falling Down. Characters are interesting, I felt bad for Mr. Terrific when his wife died. Gave the character an interesting origin.

The art is pretty good, if not really amazing. very solid work.

I guess my biggest complaint is the book is sort of preachy and political when it really doesn’t need to be, it sort of takes you out of the story.

If i met a Black Billionaire, I would be thinking “Holy shit, it’s a Billionaire” not “Wow, it’s a Black Guy”. If i saw a Black superhero flying around I wouldn’t be commenting on the fact that the guy was Black. I think the fact that he is god damn flying would be the more important fact.

Maybe that’s just me.

Still, the book is solid, with lots of potential. I’ll most likely keep reading, i just hope they find some way of not clubbing me over the head with the least important thing about Mr. Terrific. Especially considering that not one other character mentions his race. It just seems, well odd.
