Way back in the beginning of this decade, a little known writer named Geoff Johns started writing for the JSA, beginning a seminal run for a seminal book. Through the book, Johns brought back Hawkman from the brink of obscurity, delved into the soul of Black Adam with Black Reign, and now the gigantic sequel to Kingdom Come. With this issue, a classic run concludes.
"One World Under Gog" and Johns' tenure on JSA ends with this issue. The entire team has now united against Gog in a big crazy superhero fight which is a bit brief but intense as those most affected by Gog get their licks in. Magog even decapitates the Old God before KC Superman and Starman bring his severed head to the Source Wall. Then, Superman, heeding the dying words of Gog, tells Starman he has to go back to Earth-22, the Kingdom Come world.
However, what makes this issue special is the ending after Superman makes it back. After a redone version of the ending of the original Kingdom Come story, done panel for panel, we see the future of Kingdom Come as Superman builds a family with Wonder Woman (with Batman as godfather), watches his old friends pass away, the world slowly change, and time pass until the days of the Legion of Super-Heroes, where Superman is now an elderly man watching the new generation picking up the mantle of truth and justice. It's a great capper to a number of things; the current story, the Kingdom Come world, and of Geoff Johns' run on JSA.
Johns makes a perfect end for his run with great art by Eaglesham and Ross. Geoff Johns has crafted an eight year plus epic out of these characters of past, present, and future. Helping to craft the legacy aspect of the DCU better than most, Geoff Johns' run is always going to be remembered as one of the great comic writers of his time with JSA a big shiny jewel in his crown.

Batman as my godfather would freak the shit outta me, just sayin.
Your score is spot on. This was a phenomenal issue.
Agreed. I might have expected Incognito to be my POW, but this was more exceptional.
OH! So… this isn’t Geoff Johns’ last issue. Whoopsie-daisy!
