I had asked the question in the comments devoted to it, if Justice League International was the best team book of the New 52.

Well, issue 3 of JLI just answered that question…..

YES!

JLI completely blows away Johns & Lee’s Justice League. It demolishes Stormwatch. Teen Titans does stand a chance.

While those other team books are taking their sweet ass time introducing characters and crisis’, Dan Jurgens has come out from the get go with guns blazing. He has given us 3 magnificent issues of team interaction and development, all the while bringing the action higher and higher with each turn of the page.

Remember when you though the JLI was just gonna be battling that giant robot? Oh no, old rusty the robot seems the least of the JLI’s worries at the end of this issue. A real honest to goodness BAD GUY shows up – something Jurgens is famous for and he doesn’t disappoint.

This comic is balls to the wall fun and action and drama and comedy. It’s not messing around with sly jokes or winks to the readers. It could care less about redesigned suits or “pants” or “not pants”. It hasn’t got time for shoving matches between it’s members.

Simply put, JLI is the best team book of the New 52.
