  1. The reason the spider tracer goes undetected is because it is a device designed to respond to Peter’s spider sense. It’s not broadcasting like a tracking device used for surveillance. En Garde, Templar!

  2. That suffices.  Unfortunately, the story didn’t cover that.

  3. Thank the comic gods for iFanboy! Sharing comic book knowledge and celebrating the medium!

  4. Actually the story did cover the tracer thing. Tony says how impressed he is at the tech’s design.

  5. @JumpingJupiter.  We have a different definition of covered.  Yes, he mentions the spider tracer, but the book does not at all "cover" that it’s only able to be picked up by spider-sense.  It just lets the reader think that Spidey has technology that is better than Extremis, which it’s not… it’s just not equivalent.  That’s even ignoring the comic book physics where the tracer would still have to incorporate electronics, which the armor would be able to sense.

TL:DR version:  By "didn’t cover THAT", I mean the explanation.  Not the event.

  6. I suppose so.

  7. Okay, how about this: Even if the technology was undetectable, Stark’s armor has been so advanced for a while now that it should sense if something has been attached to it; kind of like a sense of touch. That way, if Thor or Bucky out a "kick me" sign on shellhead’s back, he should be able to tell. This way, the level of technology is irrelevant, and we can all agree that the Invincible Iron Man should have noticed something stuck to his super-advanced armor. :)))))

  8. @Ripper It was a plot device anyway.  "Oh, this guy is good with tech-ness!  I lieks tech!  I will talk to him more friendly now even though he not registered and I’m director of shield.  Dur dur dur."
