The reasons for the Eisner status of this book are beginning to dawn on me. I hope the iFanboys give this book one or few more shots because it’s well worth it.

First of all its the best thing Fraction’s written thus far. He’s done a really smart and redeeming thing to the Iron Man character. Everyone hated comic book Tony Stark a few short years ago, but (mostly) we all love him in the movie. Fraction uses parts of the Iron Man movie mythology and includes it in the comic book, but with a deft touch.

The other thing I love about this story is that Fraction is writing this as one very long arc, and not the usual 3-4 issue arc. This has been one long, continuous story since Fraction started writing it and the momentum of this thing, the characters involved – from Pepper Potts all the way down to a lowly H.A.M.M.E.R. agent named Walsh – are building to a conclusion of bated breath.

And say what you want about Larroca he managed to draw the most explainable version of Norman Osborn’s hair I’ve yet to see in comics.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 3 - Good
