I love The Hulk I always have, so I was really excited to pick this up. I can happily say I still love The Hulk with Waid and Yu on board. Waid makes this opening story really fun and has great some moments between Maria Hill and Bruce Banner.I really loved Bruce’s motives. It makes a lot of sense that he doesn’t want to be remembered as the guy who smashed stuff and actually wants to help the planet. My only problem is he seems a little too cocky for a guy who has been on the run from the government for most of his life.

What makes this issue really stand out is Lenil Yu’s art. It is beautifully done the entire issue. Especially the battle between Hulk and The Mad Thinker.

As a long time Hulk fan, I’m definitely excited to see where this goes.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. Mark waid has had a great couple of years at marvel. Why DC doesn’t let this guy write superman is beyond me
