I was moderately excited about this book, since I'm an old Wildstorm fan. Sadly, this book didn't live up to my expectations or the semi-hype it had. The dialogue was really bad in parts. Cole's characterization was off as well - why would he think "Oh God, Oh God, I just murdered someone!" He's a badass shown falling off a building shooting guns a la Trinity in The Matrix. The military officer calls him a "Delta Operator," which also sounds pretty bad ass. So why would killing someone, especially someone threatening in the circumstances he was in, bother such a badass? Maybe he's not a badass yet, but he seems resourceful. He easily dispatches the girl trying to kill him on the plane. It doesn't make sense.

And where the hell did the mask come from?!

The art was decent but inconsistent. I like the way the aliens (I'm assuming they are Daemonites for now) were done. But damn if Cafu doesn't draw some funky eyes on people!
