I think page one is missing a box that says ” 4 years ago ” or whatever. My best guess is that they specifically didn’t want to nail down a time frame. But it should have said ” some time ago”. I found it easy enough to follow and thought it was a simple and poignant introduction to Kyle Rayner who I have never read about before. The are is sometimes good and sometimes not. The page with Rayner and the rings is gorgeous, while other pages really looked rough. I was leery of a book that appeared to be steeped in history. That is unfounded, I think T. Bedard did a good job making this a logical jumping on point for a new reader. I will buy issue 2 for sure.
