It’s hard to look anywhere on this site, and not see praise for all things Green Lantern and Corps, and with good reason.  This is another fine example of a comic where you don’t need to have read any of the previous issues (so, no worrying about which issues are jumping on issues, jump in at any time), but it’s certainly fun if you have.  Green Lanterns, Blue Lanterns, Star Sapphires, Agent Orange, they’re all here.  They’re all awesome.  And, apart from John Stewart’s face in a couple of panels, the art work is all solid.

There’s also a back story, which lets you in on a little bit more info on Agent Orange.  It’s a more cartoony art style (but, a good cartoony style), and the writing is more of a narrative driven story than the dialogue/plot driven main story.

If you’re reading this title, you know it’s fantastic.  If you’re not, why not?

  1. Reading in trades.

  2. @JJ: That’s fair.  A hell of a wait, though, given DC’s trade program.  But, ultimately, a wise investment.

  3. I’m also on trades, but the last trade paperback is Sinestro Corps War Part I. Even Secret Origin is not yet out. The wait is painful.

  4. this will be my first issue ever.  I think.  So thanks for the review, I’ll let you know what I think…

  5. @coltrane, Actually, Secret Origin IS out.  I own it.

  6. Secret Origin is out in hardback (also a proud owner) but not yet in trade paperback yet. I had to jump from hardbacks to singles with this arc, the wait was just too long. Great book!!!

  7. I’m really disappointed in DC’s trade program.  All the Sinestro Corps and Secret Origin Trades should have been out months ago, if not a year ago, yet they just released the first of the Sinestro Corps trades this week.  I buy it in hardcover because I get a great discount, but I certainly wouldn’t otherwise.

Glad to hear everyone is enjoying it, in their own way, though.

  8. Why can’t the Trades come out with the HardCovers, doesn’t Marvel do that? Is DC really gonna Let Marvel be better than them? That’s Right Didio, I’m Challening you, or do I need to explain this more along with Final Crisis?

    Oh Snap!

  9. Is there really THAT big a price difference between the trades and the hardcovers?  Or is it more about the format you prefer?

  10. There is a big price difference.  Hardcovers are ten dollars more expensive than the trades.  A difference of about 75%.
