Holy shit BATMAN! This, along with O.M.A.C. are the greatest surprise hits coming out of the New 52.

This issue concludes the Monster Planet story arc with grandiose out of this world fights, while weaving cool ideas and kick-ass gadgetry into the mix and while referencing Aquaman and X-Men (man that Furball Special joke made me laugh out loud).

Jeff Lemire is brilliant and I can’t wait to read his next issues, especially when we know it’s a crossover between this and O.M.A.C.! KICK-ASS!

Ponticelli’s art as also grown on me, the first issue left me, I dunno… wanting for more detail but I think the characters and the concept have become his and I really appreciate his art now! It fits the pulp influenced story really well!

This is series as comic book gold written all over it! Highly recommended!
