Warning Spoilers Ahead! So here's the "skinny" on Flashpoint #3. For those of you who have read it, you know what I mean. We find ourselves opening up with Cyborg, oddly enough, who is sort of the last trusted Super-Human by the government. His task is to try and break up that pesky war between Wonder Woman's Amazons and Aquaman's Underwater Posse. I can't but help but think Cyborg's appearance here will better help us understand exactly why he will be in the new JLA come September.

Moving on we go to Barry Allen who is laying on a table looking like a mummy. If you remember Barry was burned quite badly after his first attempt at becoming Flash again and Thomas Wayne is doing his best to patch him up. Great overhead shot of Thomas looking down on Barry with blood, tools, and cloth wrappings everywhere. So Barry wants to try and get zapped again only this time with more juice! Batman Senior can't believe Barry wants to keep doing this, but is more than obliged to help microwave Barry again. Now we get to see some great action panels with lightning zapping Barry and Thomas Wayne falling off the roof, but Barry regaining his "Flash" abilities and saving him before he plunges to his death. Remarking on the situation Barry says to Thomas, "Told you." So it works and he also begins healing faster with his Flash powers back.

We get a quick shot of Lois Lane running from Wonder Woman's Amazons who are searching for her now that they know she has been spying on the inside.  Lois contacts Cyborg to let him know she's toast when suddenly she runs into the Demon Etrigan who has joined forces with Grifter and a few others who call themselves "The Resistance."

Now we get back to the Flash and he's working with Thomas Wayne trying to get some form of what he knows as the Justice League together to help fix the time stream. First he looks for Hal Jordan who he finds out is not even a Green Lantern. Then he moves on to Superman realizing he must exist after hearing about a rocket striking Metropolis years ago. Conveniently Cyborg has info on this "Project Superman" and the three now unite to go find the man of steel. When they break in what do they find? A Hundred Thirty Pound (Soaking Wet) Superman with a frightened look on his face. They don't even let this guy get fresh air it seems because when they bust him from his cell and take him outside he's amazed at how "beautiful" they sky is. The best part is once he realizes he can fly, he's gone. Literally he just flies off to who knows where leaving the rest of the group surrounded by Project Superman security guards.

Overall, pretty good read. The Superman part is actually kind of sad and funny at the same time. I did NOT see that coming. The art was really amazing if you take the time to stop and really look at it. Very crisp and dark with a lot of bright overtones where the light hits. Read it, then go back and admire. I'm kind of wishing this was more than just five issues. Heck Brightest Day was 24! Looks like at the bare minimum we will get a story that gives some explanation as to the universe we will be immersed in come September.
