  1. I kept wanting this issue to be good.  I was excited to see how the Flashpoint universe would handle Kal-El, and I found that part to be interesting.  

    But only that part.  

    The cliffhanger was dull, and the plot was not advanced nearly enough.  How is Johns going to wrap the story of Flashpoint up–much less provide the necessary groundwork for the launching of 52 #1s–in two issues?

    I’m a believer in Johns, but my faith is being tested, here.  This is the weakest of the three issues so far. I hope issue 4 cranks the plot and the suspense up by a factor of 10.
