Oh, Digger. What have you done?

Flash number seven is hands down my favorite issue so far in this (oft delayed) series.

In this issue, Captain Boomerang walks us through his origin as he breaks into the prison where the Reverse-Flash is being held. His plan is to free the Reverse-Flash in exchange for information about his future and anything else he can get about the only other person he has access to that was brought back by the "White Light" at the end of Blackest Night.

Reverse-Flash is about as popular with the Rogues (who Boomerang wants to be a part of again, and really badly) as a piranha in a hot tub, and vice versa. The Reverse-Flash pretty much tells him he means nothing to anyone and that Karma is a real bitch, then he books, leaving Boomerang to turn around and see the Rogues looking quite cross about his actions.

What made this an exceptional issue is that it continued to show how the villain structure works in the Flash world. Rogues are the unionized group that has their own set of rules and a hierarchy of sorts, while Reverse-Flash, despite fighting the Flash and hating him more than anything is still a speedster and a Flash none the less, thus ostracizing him from the other baddies in Central City. It also showed that Reverse-Flash is the most dangerous and twisted of Barry Allen's foes. In Flash: Rebirth, he's compared to the Joker, and the more Johns writes him, the more we see how insane a sociopath he truly is.

Things are only going to get worse from here. In a good way for the reader, of course.
