This is what we’ve all been waiting for! The fighting begins! The artist continues the good work and the action sequences are exciting. In the final 3 issues of this event it looks like the Asgardians are going to wait till the final issue to do battle. Thor on the other hand is looking to kick ass now and he does that indeed. While the story of the Avengers so far has been protect the civilians and occasionally fight the worthy, now their gameplan has been smashed with hammers. In the end we finally see the heroes at their breaking point. So what do heroes do at their breaking point? Usually they pull a plan outta their ass, but this time they give up. Thor is the star of this episode and were I thought he was gonna get pounded by Hulk and Thing he actually did very well. For some reason we see a replay of what Tony Stark “sacrificed” to speak to Odin again. All together this, in my opinion is the best issue in the Fear Itself series.
