Well, the ending to this issue was shocking to say the least. But the ending was shocking to me not because I didn’t expect it to turn out the way it did, but rather, I didn’t want it to turn out the way it did.

I would compare the ending here to the first time I read the Killing joke. In that book, Barbara and Gordon are talking about how horrible the Joker is. If you’re a savvy comic book reader, you know what’s going to happen, the Joke will show up. But when he does, you’re surprised.

So, although I hated the ending, I will give credit to Snyder for crafting a masterful story arc. But I didn’t like how it made me feel, so I will give the writing 4/5.

Hey at least I’m being honest.

Jock’s art is Jock’s art, very good action, so-so everyday life. 4/5

Honestly, I’m just glad my last name isn’t Gordon. That family has got it rough.
