I think that I am about to drop this book off of my pull list. It’s been getting less and less interesting to me since the relaunch. Tony Daniel is usually a hit-or-miss with me when it comes to his writing. Unfortunately, this series has been turning into more and more misses than hits. As the user FACE pointed out in the comments section, this book has turned into way too many stories encompassed into one. Sometimes that isn’t such a bad thing, but I don’t think that Daniel can handle it. It’s not that the writing is that horrible, it’s just I don’t like the way that this story is progressing. He puts these cliffhangers at the end of every single book that are supposed to keep me wanting more, when they’re actually doing exactly the opposite for me. The cliffhanger at the end of the first book was so shockingly awesome, but every single one since then has been such a letdown. The ending to this book was one of the worst in a while, from my perspective. I think Daniel needs to get a new writer and stick to the art with this book.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 3 - Good

Comments

  1. Was this issue the end of the second arc or is that next issue? If this was the end of the arc I’ll drop the book now if not I’ll carry on till the end.

  2. I agree on all fronts and will go one step further and say that the story has just gotten confusing. It’s hard to follow what’s even going on.
