The problem with this series is that Tony Daniel is getting a little bit overworked. His story feels like he brainstormed a few lukewarm ideas and filled in some dialogue.
His art, cool as ever, is overwhelming him as well, since he needed background assists on this issue. If Tony had someone like David Hine or Grant Morrison take over the writing this book would be a lot better.
