You know what this series is?  It’s the Metallica black album.  You’ve been listening to Metallica for years, like what they’re doing, then all of a sudden they do a 180 and start putting out stuff that might be ok except for the fact that you can’t forget that it’s Metallica, and they’ve become a flawed representation of themselves.  Unlike Cliff Burton, however, it’s unlikely that Daniel Way will be aboard an overturned tour bus in Sweden.  I might give this one more shot post-SI tie-in, but at this point I have no idea why I’m reading this.  I probably hate this more than Brand New Day, and that’s saying a lot.
