Back when Daniel Way was working on Wolverine: Origins, I didn't give a damn about him. It's funny that I hated him even though I didn't read one issue of Origins. I just rode the wave of negative response.
Now I'm reading the Deadpool relaunch and I'm glad to be reading a Daniel Way comic. He does capture what makes Wade Wilson an interesting character, while adding the "pool-o-vision," which allows you to see the world in the way that Deadpool does. A good example of this is the Nick Fury chibi of this issue.
I assume that this is the end of the Skrull tie-in, because Deadpool kicks Skrull ass and explains why he is not to be messed with, even though he is a weirdo. Deadpool reveals that he's been working for the side of good all along, and the enemy has underestimated him, as usual.
If I can say anything negative (which is rare, because I am a Deadpool hardcore) it's that at times Daniel way has Deadpool spouting the white-guy-uses-on-hip-hop-slang-ironically. Deadpool is all about all forms of pop culture, but I was this close to openly groaning at that type of humor.
I cannot wait to read the next issue because Deadpool is going up against another ficking nutball, Norman Osbourne.
