this is the kind of book I wish would be made more often. every time a big event happens and it seems death is coming for our heroes, I’ve always wondered what the heroes did before the big fight. Thank you Meltzer, not only for doing what MARVEL seems unable to do for their horrible summer events…you gave a event some heart. Also thanks for making GEO-FORCE a good character, because when you kept having him be around in JLA I wanted him to be gone as soon as possible, but now I see what you were doing. Great book.

For the most part I really enjoyed this book. I really had to detatch myself from it being involved with final crisis to enjoy it though because there were so many continuity problems, and not just little ones. Hal is kinda’ supposed to be in Green Lantern jail. I’m usually not one to quibble about such things but I have to say it did bother me. When I thought about it not related to Final Crisis, however, and just a story about what these characters would do the night before a huge cataclysm of some kind where they thought they had a good chance of losing, I really enjoyed it.
