Man, the art really didn't fit this issue.
I have liked the collaborations between Ezquerra and Ennis before, but here it just ruined any feel for the book.
There wasn't the dark undercurrent that any of the other books Ennis has done in the last few years.
The story was very solid.
There's something about the systematic dismantling of a super hero team would have been a landmark issue of series. The brutal way Butcher took them down could have been some immemorable moments in the book.
Instead it was so cartoony and rushed it had no impact at all. What was worse was the scene with Hughie's girlfriend and the Seven.
I can't believe how amateur this issue looked with the time that these people have been working in the medium.
