Good, but lacking seems to be my buy words for Johns this week. I feel these fight scenes were a little flat until the ends. I didn't really feel anything when Aquaman showed up, but I blame that on the fact that I was spoiled on it a few months ago. I will say I'm astounded that they killed Garth. I just can't believe that there won't be a massive amount of normal resurrections by the time this story is over, or else DC is really going to have a sparse universe character wise. I did like the Martian Manhunter fight. The flash fact was awesome, but a lot of it felt very stiff. The art was good though. I'm loving the costume redesigns, especially the JLA. There was a great subtle thing with the smoke around Batman's skull making a cowl that looked awesome. This book has had about 2 years to build to this, and it still feels like it is laying ground work.
