Lucy, you got some Splain’in to do!!! i want my money back…..

Story: 1 - Poor

  1. Thank you!  I’m glad it’s not just me.

  2. They are not ‘speaking english’ they are speaking ‘caveman’. Bruce is speaking english and they do not understand each other.

The Bat cap? Seriously? Did you not seethe huge effing BAT that stood in as some kind of totem for Team Vandal Savage?

The Robin Mask? Who knows. Tribal rite of passage thing?  Something the boy/man saw in the cave?

It does not really matter in any case.

By the way, if you write reviews (and I use the term very loosely here) you might want to use proper grammar and capitalization and that stuff, you know, proper language and communication.

You might also want to actually review the book, discuss plot points etc etc…

This just reads like a stupid forum post.

  3. It’s not accurate to give the story a 1/5 simply because you do not understand it. I don’t know if you’re a total newbie to Morrison’s work or not, but he doesn’t spoon feed you the details from the get go. His narratives are epic and multifaceted. Both your review and your grammar are juvenile.

  4. @KGBrAm What he said. I am pretty sure he painted the mask on, also prehistoric times = giant animals, its the hide of a giant bat. the only thing I don’t understand is that Bruce doesn’t remember who he is but knows whats is in his utility belt and how to use it? Wouldn’t that trigger him remembering he’s Batman.

I love the art!!! I wish this Sprouse would do some animation work.

  5. @ KGBrAm: first of all, kiss my ass. you’re not my goddamn english teacher. second, the cavemen are speaking some form of english, you asshole, because bruce gives a reaction when the word "joker” is used. ”joker” is an english word, you Lofty Turd Scorpion. (theres some captialization). in defense of Mr. Morrison, i am a lifelong fan. i will always buy his work, but this was not good.

  6. Grow up kid. You know I’m right. Teacher or not, writing well, or at least correctly is nice to the people who actually read your drivel. Plus, it’s a valuable skill to have in the real world. Practice it whenever you can.

It’s stylized speech patterns for the sake of the story. Bruce reacted to the situation at hand, not the equivalent of ”Joker’ spoken by a caveman. The caveman also laughed, that was probably the trigger for Bruce’s reaction.

  7. They are speaking english so you can understand what they are saying. The giant bat cape came from the dead giant bat. The Robin mask was face paint. I think the idea was more whimsical than contrived. Cliche? In what way?

Go back and look at akamuu’s review, when he dislikes somthing, he gives reasons why. This is more of a hit and run than a review.
