The first half of this book was breakneck pace for me. The action and fight scenes were so amazingly drawn and so well plotted I didn’t even bother to read the words on the page. I had to go back and see what everyone was saying because it was so intense and gripping. It was damn near perfect storytelling and really highlights how well sequential art can convey a story.

The second half was a great clash of perspective between Dick and Damien. Dick full of doubt and questions and Damien brimming with bravado and smugness. All the while Alfred playing ref/psychologist. Morrison has picked three perfect voices for his characters that are as engrossing as bloody fistfights in police precincts. This is off the charts good storytelling.
