I have to say I am one of the few people in the world that watched the old Batman TV. series, and loved Barbra Gordo, but I wish it was a different Girl in the Batgirl suit. I don’t care about story lines that matter or don’t matter, because she is walking, but instead what bothers me is that these last two issues have felt stale and rehashed. In my opinion primarily, because it is Barbara so it is hard for me to feel like she doesn’t know what to do, and exactly how good she is. I feel as though we are watching a new hero learn the ropes story, with a character that has done it to many times to be believable especially since she was not given an actual reboot al la (Superman). I think the book is funny, and the art is solid, but I feel the story would benefit from a new lady under the mask. I do appreciate what Gail has done with instilling doubt in the character, and I think more super hero books could benefit from this treatment al la ( Aqua man loving this book BTW my favorite of the New52).
