This book was in the “I’ll check out the 2nd issue,” pile. It wont be in the 3rd issue pile. The best word I can use to describe this issue is vanilla. The writing was really scatter brained, and the story telling was cluncky. I kept going back over the art to figure out what was going on. The villain is pretty contrived, and even for a comic a little silly. Though I do give Simone credit for her characterization of Batgirl. She’s strong and driven, with a dash of self deprivation. But this is not enough for me to stay with this tittle.
