This Spider-Man book reminded me of why I got into comics in the first place. After the universally-panned clone arc, this is a much-welcomed story that was fun from the opening page. Joe Kelly and company used asides and editor boxes to great comic relief, routinely breaking the fourth wall with Deadpool while maintaining the whimsy that we like in Spider-Man. I’m not a reader of Deadpool, so this style was new to me, but I may have to pick up some Kelly Deadpool issues. The art by Eric Canete, while not fantastic, matched the tone of the book and went for a more comic approach than a strictly realistic one, particularly during the Deadpool-Spider-Man moments. All-in-all, a fantastic book. I absolutely cannot wait until next week.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
