Okay, I think I have finally decided that I like the general flow of BND.  I will admit that I am a hater of OMD and there is a part of me that longs for what could have been, but I guess I have to move forward.  All in all this was a fun read.  The “witty” banter was nice even if it did get close to being too much.  I like that they are referencing the fact that Spider-Man has been doing the “hero” thing for quite a while since after OMD it seemed to be reset quite a bit.  I liked Larroca’s art more then a lot of people on the site seem to.  While not my favorite artist there are certain things that he really does right.  When you look at his Spidey, it really looks like someone is in that suit, and it seems more “real” somehow.  Also, I have to give him a lot of credit for keeping track of all the rips and tears in the Spidey-suit, very well done.

One thing that I have to point out as a nitpick:  Enough with the web shooters already!  Here we are 6 issues into BND and I think in every issue Pete deals with/mentions problems with his web shooters/fluid.  Seriously, get over it and find something new to write about!  I personally like the organic webbing and if that had stuck around I might have been on board BND a bit faster.

All in all, I am interested enough to keep reading for now.  I hope they keep up the solid work.
