I start this review (my first at the iFanboy site) by saying that I was blown away by the quality of the books released this week. A near dead heat fought out between Action Comics #9, Earth 2 #1 and Daredevil #12. In the end the balance tipped to Action Comics. And the reason that Action pipped Matty Murdock and the death of the Justice League is simple, I had the most fun with it, it put a huge grin on my face which is still firmly affixed to my face. And what made me smile was that I got to see Super-Barack Obama of Earth 23, complete with the big iconic 'S' on his chest, trade blows with the Superman of the "corporate brand" from another Earth, "the smug fascist bully boy" Superman. This is Morrison in his element and you can tell that he had fun with this issue. And to round out the issue Sholly Fisch wrote a story which reminded me of why Superman is such a great idea, the things that he can do that we all wish we could do for the betterment of mankind but are too pussy and gravely underpowered to do. If you dropped off Action Comics do yourself a favour and get back on the wagon for this great story.
