Let’s face it. Lex Luthor is one of the greatest villains of all time. And this run by Paul Cornell continues to impress me. In this issue we are treated to a journey in Luthor’s subconscious as he outwits Mr. Mind in his own brain. Cornell captures the arrogant, monomaniacal Lex perfectly and this story is among the best Luthor stories I’ve ever read, rating up there with Lex Luthor: Man of Steel. On top of that Pete Woods is at the top of his game and this comic looks utterly amazing. If I hadn’t been so stoked about the new Wonder Woman run this would have been my pick o’ the week, easy. Can’t wait for Death to make her appearance.
