Cornell seems to be crafting a really interesting really fun Lex Luthor story. This issue picks up right where the last left off, with Mr. Mind, the telepathic alien caterpillar taking control of Luthor and leading Lex on a journey through his own mind. We see a primitive caveman Lex, Dr. Frankenstein Lex and Cowboy Lex (who makes a Bob Marley Joke). The whole time. Mr. Mind talking to an unseen force (Or is he actually talking to us, the reader hmmmm...). This is a fun comic book, really embracing the wackiness that comics can offer, which feels appropriate as Action approaches 900. The art by Pete Woods is great, it tells the story and is simple in the best terms, it's not there to show off but to get across the story of Lex Luthor, what he's about, and the battle with a giant space caterpillar. For a reader who's only familiar with Lex from the movies, or especially with Blackest Night, this is a must read.
