It was all hiding in plain site the entire time, wasn't it?  How are they going to end the New Krypton arc, you might have asked.  Well, by making New Krypton.  Seems kind of obvious now, but that's the talent of Johns.  He can be just as enigmatic as Morrison without you even knowing he's doing it.  (Speaking of this being like Morrison's work, what is this... multiple artists with different styles on one book week?  So distracting.)  Half the book is spent on this conclusion, while the other half sets up the new status quo.  Supergirl is on the moral fence.  Lane and Luthor continue to work together to bring down the Kryptonians, slowly and "from the inside", which can mean any number of things, but likely has to do with the "biological weapon(s)" written about on Luthor's whiteboard, which seems to be his logical conclusion from the study of Doomsday's physiology.  Guardian is apparently dead at the hands of this new Superwoman, who seems to be one General Lane's side.  Oh, and Zod is back, and you will kneel before him.  Johns spins an intricate and rich web of story possibilities here.  Enough to (hopefully) keep Superman interesting for some time to come.
