How does one tell an origin story on a title that has been telling nothing but origin stories for the past year? You don’t, you just kick back and have fun with a little tale called “The Boy Who stole Superman’s Cape.” The story is as the title goes, superman is minding his own business kicking ass and taking names until something he did not foresee happens and knocks the man of steel out cold, next thing he knows cape is gone. Now, by reading this teaser we all know what happens in the end (Hell, even the solicit gives it away) but what makes this issue a fun read is not the ‘what’ but rather the ‘how’ as in how those things happened and how certain moments in this book lead to a supposed pivotal moment that would impact the careers of Louis, Jimmy, and Clark for years to come.
