  1. Woot for the podcast! Woot for my question being on the podcast! Thanks guys! 🙂

  2. Pretty funny to hear a South African accent on the show (though the Cape Townian accent is way less pronounced than South African accents from other areas). I would call in too but I’m too cheap to call long distance.

  3. Never heard of Courtney Crumrin? It’s been an Oni Press staple for ten years now! Conor, I insist you pick up the hardcover reprint of the first miniseries. Educate yourself!

  4. So a few comments about the marvel $2.99/3.99 situation
I’ve been buying my issues totally digitally for a while now using an app that I won’t name

Marvel’s $3.99 issue are $4.49 on that app in Australia. I don’t know if that’s the same in America but it sucks for us. Particularly considering the strength of our dollar.

And I am TWICE as liking to buy issues if they are $2.99.

  5. Great podcast and great opening song!

  6. Why no love for Tomasi’s “Batman & Robin”? Been a great run but I don’t recall it being a weekly pick.

  7. Sorry about that. Did not see it when I first looked at the notes and thought it was not mentioned. Cannot agree with DescendantDroog that B&R has been better than Snyder’s Batman but it has been a pretty close second.

  8. If we had to compare both I think it would be tough for me to say which is better with Batman & Batman and Robin.

The difference would be the writing because Snyder’s run has been fantastic while Tomasi clearly was stalling for time and stretched it to eight issues. But art? Woof that is a coin flip. Maybe Capullo by an inch because of the fantastic fifth issue….But Gleason is KILLING it eight straight issues. Just KILLING it….and hardly ‘standard’ if you mind me nitpicking Josh.

  9. Conor, Ted Naifeh is an awesome writer/artist/creator in San Francisco. He happens to look like you …

  10. Gleason is pretty standard. Great for superheroes but still standard

  11. Knifey-spoony?

  12. great show guys, the intro music makes me want to buy a Trans-Am and cruise around town.

  13. Thanks for another great podcast! I especially loved the pricing discussion…Ron Richards, you crack me up. 🙂

  14. I was kinda curious about America’s Got Powers, but based on the reviews I might wait a bit. I still enjoy Todd Nauck’s WildGuard series which brought superheroes to the reality TV series genre.
