    Not normally an X-men reader, but as I loved Astonishing I thought I’d try this, and I do not regret it. At the moment I’m just wondering if I should continue have the breakworld story is over. I suppose as long as it stays fun.

    I agree with something Ron said a few weeks back, Uncanny used to usher in the new & up and coming artist. Silvestri, Lee, Mad( I can’t spell the rest of his name ), even JRjr! Why doesn’t Marvel go back to that? They have a GREAT writer now, with a clear vision. Now get an awesome artist.

    Really enjoying what Gillen has been doing with this book. It’s amazing how he can go from doing a book like Phonogram to this, but he does it really well.

    This was awesome. The scene with Logan stole the show. Can’t wait to see where this is going. SO glad I chose this time to jump back into X-Men.

    Now if only Dodson could go DC exclusive.  Or better yet – IDW exclusive.  Let him draw robots.  This is the Uncanny freaking X-Men.  Gillen is killing it.  The look of the book should match.

    I think the perfect artist for this book would be Rafa Sandoval. Please Marvel…PLEASE…make it so!!! I want to read Uncanny again…a good Uncanny X-Men!

    Really? magic sword that can cut Kitty while she’s intangible? Standard issue on Breakworld? or do they just have the two?

    The idea that the knife could cut Kitty I could accept; the idea that the knife could touch her shoulder/throat but NOT touch her fingers when she tried to remove it lacked internal story continuity and smacked of lazy writing. In fact, the entire story was a series of lazy conveniences, where the villain has simply achieved total victory because the story demands it. I hope this all turns out to be a dream or an illusion (which would suck in its own way, but less so), otherwise it’s just another example of poor writing in comics. The only positive was the all-too-brief exchange with Wolverine, but even that was a cliche.
