Yes issue 3 will be new material. I agree, good story and should be an epic fight.
Im so excited this book is finally on its way, its completely finished and despite all odds should come out on time. And yes, hell has just frozen over… Beware of the flying pig..
you know, it would be really funny if ther was a massive wait between this reprint and the next issue

@ Edward- Both properties have been heavily delayed, thus the Duke Nukem reference.
I don’t think there will be too much more of a delay seeing as how #6 is being solicited for a May release.
How many times have these guys must duke out so Marvel Comics can make money out of their rivalry.
This was a fantastic issue and I am gald I am reading this mini now instead of when it originally came out.
Sure Hulk vs Wolverine isnt anything new but Lindeloff is providing some great insight into Banner and I for one loved it.
I am just wondering if this mini is now necessary? I collect the Ultimate Universe (I have every comic, ever) and I’d love to add this to bridge what happens before the Hulk returns in Ultimates 2. But with the Ultimate Universe coming to a close (at least with all the major characters, yes, including spider-man *read Marvels solicitation for May and Spider-Man Requiem #1) is it really necessary to finish this project? I guess only time will tell.
Sure this thing is necessary. Even though the Ultimate U is "ending", this is as relevent as the other stories that came before Ultimatum. Besides, in a story that opens with the Hulk tearing Wolverine in half has to be an awesome read.
Just imagine if this came out when it was suppose to be. This could seriously be one of the best Marvel series PERIOD.
Now it’s just: A) A joke because it took Lindeloff forever on this and B) It could be a great series but loses the impact because the timeline for this story should’ve been from 1-2 years ago.
Still I love this mini right now, even if it is silly on the hiatus.

It could’ve been out around Ultimates 2 or giving something to read for fans waiting for the long hiatus of the final issue. Plus if this came out, maybe Hulk would be more of an important part of the Ultimate universe. I’m guessing this ‘smart’ Hulk isnt going to last long however….cause if he can talk in this mini then why doesnt he talk in the rest of the line?

Try comparing it to Magneto Testament and if you still feel the same way your comic reviews should come with a disclaimer.

Second, is it a little hyperbole? Maybe, but I feel Lindeloff is bringing his A game for two issues so it’s starting to look great at this point.
Third, I guess you think Magneto Testament is the best marvel series ever? That is ridiculous! Try reading Nova and your reviews should come with a disclaimer!

No. Let’s be clear about this. You tried to come full circle on an assumption and failed.
Providing you an example of a series that just ended this year that destroys this Ultimate Hulk mini illustrates how seriously delusional (or drunkeningly enthusiatic) you are. Not to mention, but I will, that Magneto Testament is a pretty good example of exceptional comic book writing.
Oh, is this the Nova the one with the best cosmic story ever written? Or is it just ONE OF them?

@Scorpion: There must’ve been a time when I said only my opinion mattered the most….or I type in a way where it feels like it is.
I know my opinion isnt the one all or only thing that should matter when it comes to comics….That goes to the Itrinity! (Just joking) Besides I’m not even saying in today’s terms is this mini one of, or the great marvel title of all times. I said that IF this mini came out when it was suppose to (or provide readers something to read while Millar took his good old time with Ultimates 2) this could’ve been one of the best mini’s by Marvel period. Maybe I shouldnt have put period in capitals? now i wont use capitals to make sure my point isnt being made across.
