  1. This is always a beautiful book and the writing is always top notch (IMO). These two (Manapul and Buccellato) deserve their fair share of the limelight for making this book elite.

  2. I’m buying this for Gorilla Grodd (solo series maybe? maybe?). I love how they’ve used GG so far. Otherwise I’ve bought none of the other issues, but I’m told they’re great.

  3. Here’s the rub… they are ALWAYS GREAT, but, and it’s a BIG BUT (as opposed to a BIG BUTT), it never feels like it’s moving forward and that has been the ongoing criticism of much of the new 52. They just drag on and on and on and on. I love the FLash (been reading him since 1963), but today’s stories are taking too long and I am losing interest.

  4. Really was impressed by this issue!! Fast-Paced with lots of action, a great-building story arc, and the always-awesome artwork of Francis Manapul!

  5. I think the pacing is kinda working for the series. Yeah, its been the major complaint from everyone who reads it, but we’re still reading it. Personally this the title I look forward to the most every month (Yes, more than Batman with Snyder). I wouldn’t say its better exactly, but because its so different from every other title I read right now. There’s so much going on, it’s a light and fun read, and it’s the Flash. I think there will be a huge payoff down the road with everything going on that hasn’t been resolved (People trapped in the Speed force, Barry’s secret identity, the Rogues). Maybe the point is to keep things moving, not to slow down. I’m pretty happy with this compared to Flash in the past couple of years.

  6. I thought this was the best issue of the series so far. It feels as if moments to which the artists have been building are right around the corner.

  7. Can someone clear this up? Is Solovar actually Barry?

The hopped on Speed force Grodd is killer.

  8. Good issue. I’m enjoying this book so much more after going back and reading the book from the beginning. There is so much going on.

  9. So I’m reading this issue and thinking, “I guess they’re not doing a splash title page this time. Oh well, doesn’t need to be in *every* issue.” Then I finish the issue and good god they did one of the most epic title pages yet. How long can Manapul keep this up?

  10. This was a very good issue, even though I’m not a big Grodd fan. Yeah, that splash page at the end was cool.
