To say The Flash is decompressed is an understatement. I think In 15 months of issues about 30 minutes has passed in the story. This is an exaggeration but not by too much. This makes the action very detailed and the plotting pretty slow. We see almost all interactions happen in real time. I’m not saying this is necessarily bad, just ironic that slow pacing is the hallmark of a Flash title. The story about the gorillas attacking Central City is interesting but the motivations of the Rogues is all over the place for me. I did like the introduction of a character that could presage a fan favorites return. Or maybe it’s a red herring to enrage a huge portion of the comic reading community. Time will tell. But as much as I like this series I’m beginning to think it’ll read way better in trades. It’s tou to stay invested when so little plot progressions happen month on month.
