  1. Since a lot of people seem to be digging Slott I gave last issue a try. I think I enjoyed it despite myself. I’ve always liked Humberto Ramos, and any story that focuses on Peter is good in my book. Slott is still not my ideal choice for the book, but any time Ramos is on art, and the blurb doesn’t mention SPECAL GUEST STARS THE FF AND AVENGERS, I’ll pick this up, because Slott can write Peter, when he’s not distracted by the other toys in the box.

  2. Here we go! One of the titles I am looking forward to this week that I can honestly say is running on all cylinders!!
    Spiderman-Spiderman does whatever a spider can…….

  3. I’m happy this is only a two issue story concluding with this one I was digging the last issue

    • Wasnt**

    • Agreed. I’ve been liking ASM since SI but last issue was the weakest in a while. I said it last week and I’ll say it again, this series seems very unfocused since SI. Lots of seeds being planted (the vulture back in town, sinister six, who set up black cat) and then we get a random story like this. Kind of strange.

    • Ya I agree but im hoping it will all be leading into something good with this new event that going to happen soon because before and throughout spider island it’s been really good

    • Agreed. I’m definitely still on board with this book 100%. Just hope we see some of the seeds start to sprout soon.

  4. Still need to catch up on reading this.

Finally reading Spider-Island, and enjoying it a lot.

A great comic for the price if you’re subscribing.

  5. I jumped on at 677 because I’m also reading Daredevil and I am really enjoying it. Great time to start with this title.

  6. I jumped on w/ 678. My son and I are loving Ultimate Spiderman, and I can say we both are loving this as well. He’s really excited to see what happens in this, and I can’t disagree. Loved issue 678, thinking of downloading some of the digital collections Marvel just released of this series.

  7. Last issue was fun, and it looks like this one will be, too.

  8. I didn’t like Slott on Spider-man when Big Time started, but it’s won me over after Spider-Island.

  9. Oh yeah, LOVE the cover to this issue!

  10. nice.
    ramos’ art isn’t repulsive anymore.
    keeping on pull list.
lucky parker got frenched by silver sable.

    • Yeah I thought the same for the last issue. Ramos really improved, everything was detailed and clear, although a littleeeee bit too cartoony for my taste in facial expressions but hey, can’t have it all.

Still I actually “enjoyed” his art for once! So kudos to him!

    • kinda shocked me. i HATED ramos’ work before.
i’d groan every time i saw his name on a solict, but i guess he picked up the ball.

remember his mary jane in spider island?

look at it then, and look at it now. it’s crazy how big the difference is.

  11. I can’t stand time pardox type stories, they just have been done over and over agian. The way this was set up was kind of silly for me however; at the end I found myself to actually be into this stoy. Kudos I say and another fine issue of ASM..

  12. Daaamn, has Ramos always been this good? I never thought he was bad, but this was noticeably GOOD. Also helps that the story ruled. I hope they keep up this kind of quality.

The Spidey office has been killing it lately between this, Avenging, Venom, Carnage, Daredevil and Punisher. Hopefully in a few months once we’ve a better gauge on the quality, we’ll be adding Scarlet Spider to that list. Hot damn!

  13. PotW, and what I wish more comics from both Marvel and DC were like!

Very enjoyable and I look forward to the next 2 issues, and beyond, too.
