  1. This looks like a childs book(5-10yrs old)

  2. So i’ve never heard of this character before, does he carry around a cat or a large carpeted rug in order to use his super powers? 😉

  3. Long over due, Virgil Hawkins deserves his own book.

  4. love the villain designs that have been featured on Writer John Rozum’s blog. This looks like it’ll be a gem.

  5. I want to love this book.

  6. will wait for reviews.

  7. Not a big McDaniel fan but John Rozum is pretty cool. Better this than the previously rumored creative team, though.

  8. Saw McDaniel’s teaser on YouTube (Spoilers abound… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaq9c4R4nEI). Looks interesting.

  9. I am picking this up based off the solicit alone. It seems like a book that I may be able to get into. Are there any preview pages out yet? I wouldn’t mind reading a preview before I throw $2.99 towards something I’m not positive about…

  10. not too bad, pretty good book, arts alright and story is interesting, has a bit of an Ultimate Spider-man vibe to it

  11. Maybe I’m just a sucker for the character, but I loved this. McDaniel’s got just the right vibe for a book like this, and it’s super fun to read a smart character actually using his smarts to win a fight. Sign me up for more!

  12. This was a lot of fun. Some good action on top of some witty dialogue and a couple pretty funny references. I’m gonna stick with this one for awhile.

  13. It was a bit too jokey at some points, but it was overall a blast to read. It reminded me a lot of the Static Shock cartoon that I would watch as a kid. Ah, nostalgia.

  14. this was a truly good time

  15. There was some hokey dialogue, but the way Static utilized his powers was pretty interesting. This is my first official introduction to this character. His personality reminds me of a young Peter Parker. I’m still on-board, I just hope the writers got all the bad puns out of their system with this issue.

  16. Junk!! The worst book of the bunch this week for sure 1 out of 5 is what I gave it however; it should be -2 or how about why did they bother? There are again about 100 or more more intresting characters in the DCU that could use there on book.
I agree with the first comment this should be in the kids line up for sure with Brave and the Bold and Tiny Titans or something.

    Just sayin’,
