  1. Damn you $3.99! I’ll need to check out the art in-store to see if I pull this.

  2. I didn’t like the X-Men Noir but I’m gonna take a look at the art as well before I decide. For Spidey.

  3. i think the art on this one will be less noir-y than x-men noir.  di giandomenico was the penciller for the daredevil battlin’ jack murdock mini-series, and he definitely had a more cartoon looking style.  then again, who knows

  4. If this is as good as X-Men Noir it’s gonna be a must buy for me.

  5. why does this book even exist?

  6. wasnt a fan of X-men noir, but i think im gonna get this one and try it out. Spidy has to be better!

  7. @edward why did any of the elseworlds exist. because it’s a fun idea

  8. i don’t like fun… that’s why i read comics

  9. @edward    …Josh? is that you?

  10. This was good! A solid read, but it didn’t seem as noiry as the X-men one. I’m still in.

  11. How do you look at this cover and not want to buy it?

  12. The entire Noir concept is there for *fun*.  It’s there to tell character-based stories about who these people are as people when you strip away the powers and the piles of canonical history.  Take away all of that, and what do you have?  Put them sometime else, and what do they do?  That is the purpose of this, that is the joy of this, that is the fun and the excitement of the Noir books.

With that as the understood purpose and goal, this is a fan-freaking-tastic comic.  It executes those ideas perfectly setting up a new world and new versions of these characters.  It starts a story whose conclusion I want to know.

  13. David Hine is a genius plan and simple

  14. i am currently in love with this book.

just pure brillance. plain and simple.

  15. I loved the crap out of this…enough to make it my pick hands down.  Marvel Noir is more enjoyable for me right now than Marvel 616…=P

  16. this was so-so, I am guessing it will read better in trade, especially for that cover price.

  17. Maybe it’s the time era it takes place in, but I like it so far.
