  1. This is going to be something remarkable.

  2. If you are not excited for this issue which has Ellis and Immonen teaming up again then you must not love comics.

Come to think of it, you must not love anything fun if you aren’t excited for this period. But also it is a bit sad since this is the final issue of Ellis’s Secret Avengers run. I would give Rick Remender a shot but…..no I just don’t have it in me to lie.

  3. I’m really, really going to miss Ellis on this.

    • Though I too will miss Ellis and the fantastic artists that have rotated on this title, but I can’t help but be excited for the new Remender/ Hardman team up.

    • I’m with rustynail. I’m excited about Remender and Hardman. I would love to have the Ellis/awesome artist run on the series in a nice hardback.

  4. I’ll be jumping back on this to see what remender can do with a hawkeye lead team.

  5. A perfect way to end this mini run: With the previous tag team champions that you dreamed every night would reunite and dazzle the crowd with their magic. Their run on Nextwave was great due to their ability to convey the wackiest possible superhero story in the funnest way, which is something I hope that they can bring to this issue.

Ellis’ Secret Avengers run has been a cool little distraction. Nothing too substantial in terms of story since he was only on this for 6 or so issues, but otherwise a real treat for art lovers. I’m impressed that he was able to utilize all of his artists’ strengths to such an insane degree. So yeah, I’m really glad that they brought him on. Seeing as how this was one of the worst titles that Marvel put out since issue #1, Ellis did a good job at getting this title to hype status and setting it up for the big leagues with Remender and Hardman.

  6. Is this issue part of Ellis’ continuing story arc? I’ve never read secret avengers but I want to jump on because Remender and Hardman are doing it next month. Can I jump on this issue or is it a tie in with the the whole Ellis run?

  7. Man, I really didn’t like the last issue. It was just average. I’ve dropped this series.

  8. This last half a year was great. Warren Ellis writing. A rotation of the best artists at Marvel. Beautiful Cassaday covers. It went from being one of the most disappointing books (a Brubaker book with Nova sounded great on paper) to one of the best. This will definitely be a trade to give others.

Also, I’m glad someone is bringing O*N*E back up. The X-titles really just dropped them completely.

  9. *sniff*

So long Warren Ellis, your run will be missed. I feel like we were just getting to know each other.

  10. Am I going to see that Nextwave magic ?

  11. This was great…. i have no complaints about it other than i wish it was still going!
