  1. Last issue was surprisingly good. Higgins is definitely becoming one of the best new writers at DC and for Nightwing.

  2. I thought the last issue started strong, but it looks like this first arc is what I was hoping it would not be, i.e., Dick following the circus. I know it’s the character’s history and all, but following the circus? Ugh. How about just putting him in the city and having him solve crimes and fight bad guys?

    • Hahah. I completely agree. I just read the solicitation for issue #5 and groaned when I read the circus is still playing a prominent role.

    • Really I think it’s a pretty cool idea, will allow for different stories than any most other hero’s could do. Plus it sounds like there is more to the circus than it just being a circus

  3. I liked the first issue and hope this book can continue to be interesting. I like Dick Grayson a lot, so I’m hoping for a a successful run.

  4. The first issue was okay, but I just know that the series can only get better! I mean, NIGHTWING!

  5. I picked up the first issue on a whim and enjoyed it a fair bit. Will be sticking around for the first arc to see where it goes.

  6. Just re-read some of my old Dixon/McDaniel Nightwing trades, and it’s got me excited for this book again.

  7. This is similar to Batman and Robin because like Bruce, Dick has an assassin on his tail. I have yet to see Nightwing really throw down so I’m interested to see how he handles himself. Who is the best Robin to you guys? Could Tim beat Dick with all their gadgets included?

  8. Couldn’t they have changed his name to Rick Grayson in the re-launch?

  9. I am going to have to make a game time decision tomorrow on this book. I probably won’t get to the Comic Book store until thursday actually so the reviews are going to guide my hand on this.

  10. This was a fun issue, just as strong as the first.

Barrows art has definitely improved over the last time I saw him (in the Superman issues). Some of the pages, like the reveal of the warehouse, were just beautiful. The story is pretty good too, although Dick having sex in the plane was a little weird. That couldn’t have been comfortable. Still it was a good issue all around and Higgins is definitely doing a great job with (R)ick Grayson lately.

    4/5

  11. Solid issue. Have to say im not a big fan of the whole circus thing but that’s a minor complaint. Overall I feel like i’m getting my Dick Grayson fix so that’s good enough for me.

  12. Love the art and story. Very good beginning for Dick Grayson after parting with the Batman stage.

  13. After reading Snyders Tec run, I decided to follow Dick Grayson on his journey back to being NW. So far I am stoked that I did. The story is keeping my interest, and the art is really good too.

  14. Another solid enjoyable issue. Eddy Barrows art was even better in this and the whole story felt fun. After two issues I’m definitely on board so long as the quality stays like this every month.

  15. The art is fantastic… but the story isn’t exactly living up to what I wanted. I’ll give it another issue to catch me but if it fails this is a dropped title.

  16. It’s the redheads fault!

  17. This was a fun issue, and I enjoyed it more than the first one. However, it might not make the cut going forward due to my budget. Solid though.
